Location
There were two Rensselaerville District School No. 9 schools, the first on Lot 6 in Cooksburg and known as "Cooksburg School".Also known as District 19 in an 1853 deed. The other District 9 school was in the Town of Westerlo on Lot 194 at Chapel Hill Rd (Route 408) and Fancher Rd. It was later converted into a residence. [1].
Known Teachers
Teachers known to have taught at the Cooksburg School were:W in Patrie, Blanche Clapper, Edward Richmond, Osee Mulbury, Grace Goff, Millie Newman, Elias White, Willard Brezee and Clara Nickerson.[1]
Known teachers at the school on Chapel Hill Rd in Westerlo were: Mary Fancher, Eva Wilsie, Ivan Gifford, Marjorie Britton, Anna Griffin and Reginald Makely.[1]
