A longtime area resident of the Berne - Knox - Westerlo area, he had worked as a carpenter for over 40 years before moving to Summerfield, however spent most of his summers in N.Y. He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey (Kim) Turmel of Brookfield, Wis., R.
