Death
Christina died January 20, 1993, at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY at 96 years of age. She was buried in Westerlo Rural Cemetery.
Obituary
WESTERLO - Christina Snyder, 96, died Monday in St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. She was born in Berne Sept. 26, 1896, daughter of the late George P. and Johanna Meyer Messer. She was a member of the Westerlo Reformed Church and a life member of the town of Westerlo Fire Company Auxiliar y. She was the widow of Walter L. Snyder. She is survived by four daughters - Catherine Latham and Viola Hallenbeck, both of Wsterlo, Mary Tompkins of Dormansville and Anna Kuhar of Rensselaerville; four sons - George Snyder, Frederick Snyder and Robert Snyder, all of Westerlo, and Henry Snyder of Albany; 24 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great- grandchild. She was pre-deceased by two sons, John and Richard Snyder; two brothers, George and Otto Messer; a step-brother, Adam Messer; and two step-sisters, Elizabeth Weidman and Anna Stewart. The Rev. David Cooper of Westerlo Reformed Church will officiate at a service tomorrow at 11 a.m. in the Cunningham Funeral Home in Greenville. The Westerlo Fire Company Auxiliary will conduct a service today at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Contributions may be made to the Westerlo Reformed Church Memorial Fund in care of Henry C. Latham, RD 1, Westerlo, NY 12193; or to t he Westerlo Fire Company Rescue Squad.
