He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Helen; his son, Jerry (Dina) of Knox; his daughters, Betsey (Richard) Bartley of Knox, Jill (Edward) Fassett of Duanesburg, and Pam (Michael) Izzo of Cohoes; his sister, Alice Terry; his grandchildren, Noreen Hayden, Timothy Hofmann, Tracie Coulter, Deborah Diehl, Joseph Bartley, James Bartley, Matthew Fassett, Andrew Fassett and three great-grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his daughter, Jean Hofmann; a brother, Arthur and his sisters, Helen Dierks and Vivian Quay.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, October 12, 2012 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Fredendall Funeral Home, 199 Main St., Altamont. Funeral service will be on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Knox Reformed Church, Berne-Altamont Rd., Knox, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
