ROTTERDAM - June Halsey Gibbs, 73 died suddenly Tuesday at home. Mrs. Gibbs was born Oct. 5, 1922 in Guilderland, daughter of John and Nellie Kellerhouse Halsey. She moved to Knox in 1935.
She established the Green Acres Mobile Home Park on Thompsons Lake in 1966 and ran it until 1988, when she moved to Rotterdam. She was a member of the East Berne Businessmen's Association and the Thompson's Lake Reformed Church in East Berne.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Bascom of Albany, three grandchildren - Jayson Romaczuk, and Matthew and Michelle Bascom; and two great-grandchildren Justin and Nicole Romanczuk.
Her husband, the late James A. Gibbs, died in 1965.
Services will be private at the Frendendall Funeral Home in Altamont. Burial will be in Knox Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to withe the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Road, Albany, 12205, or the American Cancer Society, 1450 Western Ave., Albany, 12203.
