Hi John,

I have attached pictures of the Dumond Burring Ground. If you use them, please give Daniel McTaggart credit for taking and sharing the pictures. Picture 1 and 2 were taken in 2012 and picture 3 was taken this year. Picture 1 and 2 are from inside the cemetery and 3 is outside the cemetery looking in. The sun was getting low in the sky and it illuminated one tall head stone that is taller than the stone wall fence that surrounds the cemetery. It's a really unique picture!

The cemetery is about 150 yards off Miller Road in Renssealerville, NY. It' not visible from the road (even in the fall after the leaves are off the trees). It took us 3 years to locate it. It's in very poor condition. Many of the stones are down or in the process of going down. In some cases they are under as much as 5 inches of debris and dirt. We have located and lifted about 10 stones to the surface and removed some fallen trees and branches). The inscriptions on some of the stones are impossible to read. There are a few head stones that appear to be completely blank (as if they were never carved) and many field stone markers (some with initials). We have been trying to locate graves for Simeon Church DOB 8-11-1750 DOD 6-4-1841 and his wife (married 12-30-1778) Theodora Beebe DOB ? DOD 6-?-1841 (she died the day of Simeon's funeral). HUMmmmmm ... I just realized, Theodora's last name is the name of your road!! Could that be a coincidence or was the road named after the Beebe family? Do you know the history?

Note: Someone else knows of the existence of this cemetery because there was a new small flag near one of the headstones this year.
