Building Up Funds

The Builders Club of Berne-Knox-Westerlo Middle School had a busy year, holding bake sales that earned over $300. At the end of the school year, the club presented checks for $150 each to the BKW Elementary School Art Department for supplies, and to the BKW Marching Band for expenses. Mary Liz Stewart, who took the picture, is the Builders Club's faculty advisor. The 15 BKW Builders Club members also participated in the Halloween collection for UNICEF and raised $75. The BKW chapter, one of 1,500 clubs in five countries, is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of the Helderbergs. For more information, call Janice Van Etten at 872-1895.
