Lewis E. Tubbs Jr.

KNOX — Lewis "Bub" Tubbs died Sunday, July 29,2007. He was 38. Born in Albany, Mr. Tubbs was the son of Lewis and Charlotte Tubbs of Knox. He graduated from Berne-Knox-Westerlo High School in 1987 and worked as an equipment operator for the Albany County Highway Department in Berne. He loved to ride his Harley with his friends and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He also enjoyed going to Lebanon Valley Speedway.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Tubbs is survived by his wife, Michelle Tubbs;°two step-daughters, Nicole Derry and Jennifer Derry, both of Knox; three sisters, Kathy VanWormer, and her husband, Leon, of Delanson; Pam Raynsford, and her husband., Dave, of Voorheesville; and Tammy Krueger, and her husband, Tom, of Knox. Mr. Tubbs is also survived by his nephew, Donald Filkins; four nieces, Lisa Filkins Brown, Nicole Filkins Greklek, Stacy Travis, and Heather Travis; his goddaughter, Danielle Krueger, and one grand-niece, Kierra Brown, He is also survived by his good friends, Kenny Cox, Chuck Plant, and Dan Jacobs. Arrangements were by the Fredendall Funeral Home in Altamont. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lebanon Valley Speed? way Drivers Point Fund, Post Office Box 9, West Lebanon, NY 12.195.

Lewis was born in Albany, the son of Lewis and Charlotte Tubbs of Knox. He graduated from Berne Knox Westerlo High School in 1987 and worked as an equipment operator for the Albany County Highway Dept. in Berne. He loved to ride his "Harley" with his friends and was an avid outdoors man. He also enjoyed going to Lebanon Valley Speedway. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Michelle Tubbs; two stepdaughters, Nicole Derry and Jennifer Derry, both of Knox; three sisters, Kathy (Leon) VanWormer of Delanson, Pam (Dave) Raynsford of Voorheesville and Tammy (Tom) Krueger of Knox; one nephew, Donald Filkins; four nieces, Lisa Filkins Brown, Nicole Filkins Greklek, Stacy Travis and Heather Travis; his goddaughter, Danielle Krueger and one grandniece, Kierra Brown.
