Miner C. Swartout, (birth name Myndert), was born 30 May 1785 in New Hackensack, Dutchess County, NY, son of Cornelius Swartout and Sara Terbush.

Birth

Charles Freleigh Tallman was born October 7, 1909, in Medusa to Fletcher D. Tallman and Alice W. Freleigh. He went by the nickname "Charlie".

Education

He attended the Sayre District school in Rensselaerville.

Occupation

Charlie worked for ALCO (American Locomotive), the City of Schenectady Golf Course, and the Pine Haven Country Club in Guilderland, N.Y..

Marriage & Children

On December 25, 1933, Charles married Frances Mary Knize. Immediately following their marriage they moved to Rotterdam, Schenectady Co., NY. In 1955, they moved to Feura Bush, Albany County, living there until 1961. That year, Charlie and Frances moved to Slingerlands, N.Y.. They had no children.

Death

Charles died February 24, 1976, at Albany Medical Center in Albany, N.Y.. At the time of his death he was 66 years old. He was buried in Fisher Cemetery in Rotterdam on February 27.

TALLMAN - Suddenly February 24, 1976, at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Charles F. Tallman of 1990 New Scotland Road, Slingerlands, N.Y. R.D., husband of Frances Knize; brother of Mrs. Martha Van Alstyne, Mrs. Kenneth (Ann) Humphrey, and Ernest and William Tallman. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral service Friday at 10 a.m. from the Brunk Funeral Home, Voorheesville, N.Y. Relatives and friends may call Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.
