GLENMONT William J. Sowalski, 69, died Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Howard and Evelyn Diehl Sowalski. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Bill was a 45 year member of the Carpenter's Local 291. He was a member of the Rensselaer Elks, American Legion Post 1040, and the Polish American Citizens Club. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was the beloved husband of Carol A. Poulopoulos Sowalski; dear father of Raymond Sowalski (Leuella), Mark Sowalski (Stacy) and the late Joyce Cossingham; brother of Adeline Ridner, Anna Orsano, Helene Weber, Beverly Madonia, Marion Houghton and the late Louise Callaway, Mildred Cramer, Gus Sowalski, Chester Sowalski and Arthur Sowalski; grandfather of Matthew Cossingham, Leigh Sowalski, Vanessa Forcinella, Kristina Cossingham, Linda Sowalski, Jonathan Csontos, Ashley Weatherwax and Christopher Csontos; many nieces and nephews survive. Funeral services Friday, August 19, 2011 at 11:15 a.m. from the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany, thence to the Parish of Mater Christi at 12 p.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. GUILDERLAND - Ann Csontos-Weatherwax and Mark Joseph Sowalski plan to marry July 11 at Sacred Heart-St. Columba Church in Schenectady.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of John and Linda Harlan of Guilderland. Her fiance is the son of William and Carol Sowalski of Glenmont.

Ms, Csontols-Weatherwax attended Schalmont Senior High School and graduated from Schenectady County Community College with a degree in computer information systems.

Mr. Sowalski graduated from Bethlehem Central High School and is a member of Carpenters Local 370 in Albany.

LOUIS M. ORSANO

GUILDERLAND - Louis M Orsano, 64, a disabled World War II veteran, died Sunday (October 15, 1989) morning in his Newman Road home after, he was stricken.

Mr. Orsano was born in the Bronx. He served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of the William J. Lasc'h Disabled American Veterans in Albbany.

Survivors include his wife, Anna M. Sowalski Orsano; two daughters, Louann Taylor and Eugena O'Connor, both of Chatham; two stepdaughters, Jacualyn Tice and Bonnie Salway, both of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sisters, Jean Bowlin of Maiden, S.C„ and Josephine Dilllio of Anaheim, Calif.; one brother, Samuel Orsano of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and six grandchildren.

The service was held yesterday in the Hearley and Son Funeral Home, Guilderland. Burial was in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
