Birth
Sebastian Schroeder was born in Germany. If his age at the time of his known marriage was about 25, he would have been born at about 1743. If he came to America as a Hessian soldier, he was probably born much earlier.
Marriage & Children
He married on May 1, 1768 at the Dutch Reformed Church in Schoharie Anna (Hannah?) Kraft. They had the following known children:
- Johannes Schroeder b. about 1769 died before 1813
- Elizabeth (Betsey) Schroeder b. September 21, 1770, wife of William Tingue
- Adam Schroeder b. May 11, 1772
- Henry Schroeder b. June 2, 1777
- Michael Schroeder b. July 1, 1782
- George Schroeder b. about 1784
- Margaret Schroeder, wife of Peter Dingman
- Dolly Schroeder, wife of Francis Miller
Death
Sebastian died between April 2, 1815 and February 7, 1817. His wife, Hannah, survived him.
