Bernard C. Nagengast was born in Albany NY on Sept. 29, 1925. He was the son of Emil J. Nagengast and Sophia Dyda Nagengast. He was one of eight children. Bernie has a fraternal twin brother.

Bernie graduated from Christian Brothers Academy in Albany NY

Occupation

Emil and Sophia started Emil J. Nagengast Florist in Albany over 100 years ago. Bernie grew up in the florist business working in it his entire life until he retired in 1986. It is still a family run business today.

Bernard Nagengast married Matilda Nicklas in April 1947. Their marriage produced 11 children, 6 boys and 5 girls
