Constance June Moraway was born on June 18, 1940, in Albany, to the late Arline and Frank Moraway. Her brothers and sisters were:
- Marlene Bobowski;
- Melvin Moroway, and his wife, Carol
- Elizabeth Morisseau died before her as did her husband, Robert Morisseau

June Moraway attended Albany High School.

She married the love of her life, Robert Bareis Sr., of Nassau, on Dec. 28, 1958. Their children were:
- Robert Bareis Jr., of Knox
- Connie Campbell, and her husband, Tim, of Albany
- Cathy Kodra, and her husband, Keith, of East Berne
- Cindy Arno of Guilderland;
- John Bareis, and his wife, Jennifer, of Duanseburg.
Death
Constance June Moraway Bareis died on July 20, 2012.
Obituary
KNOX — “Heaven got a little funnier and a whole lot better fed on July 20, 2012, when Constance June Bareis was called home,” her family wrote in a tribute. “Connie passed away peacefully in her home in Knox, surrounded by her loving family and close friends, after a tough fight, which proved her strength and courage right up till the very end.” She was 72.
Mrs. Bareis was born on June 18, 1940, in Albany, to the late Arline and Frank Moraway. She attended Albany High School. She married the love of her life, Robert Bareis Sr., of Nassau, on Dec. 28, 1958.
“They were married for 54 years and they were as much in love the last few days of her life as they were 54 years ago,” said her granddaughter, Erin Ferguson.
The couple settled in Altamont, where they raised their five children.
In 1988, they moved to Waterford, where they owned and operated the Lock One Marina on the Hudson River.
During that time, they were able to enjoy many of their favorite hobbies, including boating, traveling, entertaining friends, and taking trips to the casino.
“Connie’s greatest gifts and most valued treasures were her grandchildren,” wrote her family in a tribute. “She was the best grandmother,” said Mrs. Ferguson. “All her grandkids loved to make her laugh; we all thought she was hilarious.” Her incredible sense of humor and infectious laugh kept her family going to the very end, the tribute said.
“She was the most caring and loving grandmother and spoiled each one of her grandchildren with junk food, goodies, and love,” her family wrote.
Mrs. Bareis is survived by her children, Robert Bareis Jr., of Knox; Connie Campbell, and her husband, Tim, of Albany; Cathy Kodra, and her husband, Keith, of East Berne; Cindy Arno of Guilderland; and John Bareis, and his wife, Jennifer, of Duanseburg. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Carli Elble, and her husband, Nate, of Delanson; Erin Ferguson, and her husband, Mike, of Westerlo; Mandi Coburn, and her husband, Jeff, of Rotterdam; Adam Kodra, and his wife, Britney, of Wisconsin; Stanley Arno, and his wife, Kelsey, of St. Regis Falls; Robert Bareis III, and his wife, Elizabeth, of Guilderland; Stephanie Campbell of Albany; Gregory Aiken of St. Regis Falls; Sarah, Theodore, and Molly Bareis, of Duanesburg; and Shawn and Candace Gill, of Duanesburg. She is survived, too, by her great-grandchildren, Natalie, Charlotte, and Eden Elble, Henry and Brynn Ferguson, Adelle and Nora Coburn, Renee Kodra, and Maya Hernandez; her sister, Marlene Bobowski; her brother, Melvin Moroway, and his wife, Carol; her brother-in-law, Fred Bareis; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Her sister, Elizabeth Morisseau, died before her, as did her brotherin- law, Robert Morisseau.
The family thanks Dr. Barbara Hauser and Dr. Lawrence Garbo for their special care, and the nurses and staff at the Reuben Dialysis Center in Clifton Park, especially Joyce and Faye. They also thank the community Hospice Center.
There will be no funeral service as Mrs. Bareis elected to donate her body to the Anatomical Gift Program at the Albany Medical College.
