Irving MacMillen of Delmar died Saturday morning, Dec. 4, (1982) at home. He was 81.

Irving was born in Albany Jan. 22, 1901, son of Nelson MacMillen and Jennie Osterhout.

A farmer in the Knox area for many years, he was a member of Knox Reformed Church and served on its consistory for a number of years.

His wife, Rachel Gibbs MacMillen preceded him in death in April 1979 after over 58 years of married life.

Survivors are two daughters and one son, Mrs. Beryl Anderson of liberty, Mrs. Leah Jean Miller of Wheaton, Ill., and John MacMillen of Delmar. His grandchildren are Mark Miller, Paul Miller, Jan Miller Weaver, John Miller, Amy Anderson, William Anderson, Marcia Anderson, Shelly MacMillen Taylor, Nancy MacMillen Barber and Laurel MacMillen Scudder. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.

The MacMillens were members of Pineview Community Church, Washington Ave. Extension, Albany. They moved to Delmar in October 1971 where they enjoyed their retirement years. They also spent several winters in Florida.
