Isaac D.M. Lobdell was born in Westerlo in 1839, a son of Isaac Lobdell and Jerusha Lobdell.

Isaac married Catherine Mac Donald, a daughter of George Mac Donald and Sarah Willsey who was born on June 18, 1840, on August 30, 1861 and had the following known children who were born in Albany, NY:

Isaac died on June 20, 1894 at Lakeview, IL and was buried at the Westerlo Rural Cemetery. Catherine died on May 23, 1916 in Chicago, Cook Co., IL, and is buried beside her husband.
