Birth

Mr. Hahne was born in Brooklyn, December 6, 1920, son of the late Carl Hahne and Holly Cunningham.

Education

He graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School.

Marriage and Children

Carl married Britta Anderson and had three daughters and four sons. The daughters are Carlotta, Nadine, and Britta Hahne. The sons are Grant, Bruce, Carl III, and Neil Hahne.

Occupation

Mr. Hahne retired from the Stevens-Hahne Agency as president in July, 1982.

Military Service

Carl served in World War II and fought in the Naples and the Rome-Arno Campaigns.

Death

Carl died August 18, 1987 at the Albany VA Medical Center after a long illness.

Obituary Carl Hahne, 66, of Medusa died August 18 at the Albany VA medical center after a long illness. He was born in Brooklyn, December 6, 1920, son of the late Carl and Holly Cunningham Hahne. He graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School, was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Naples and the Rome-Arno Campaigns. He received the European-African Middle Eastern Theatre ribbon, two bronze campaign stars, purple heart with oak leaf cluster, combat infantry badge and the good conduct ribbon. He was a past member of Clark White Post 589 American Legion, the Greenville Rotary Club and the James Austin Lodge 555 F & AM, He retired from the Stevens-Hahne Agency as president in July, 1982. Funeral arrangements were at the convenience of the family. Surviving are his wife, the former Britta Anderson; three daughters--Carlotta Morris of Medusa, Nadine Duncan of Dover Plains, Britta Lovegrove of Berne; four sons--Grant Hahne of titusville, Florida, Bruce Hahne of San Francisco, California, Carl Hahne, III, of Medusa, and Neil Hahne of East Durham; and 10 grandchildren.
