Birth
John Finch was born at about 1802 at Knox, a son of Foster Finch and Naomi Merrick[1]
Marriage & Children
John married Nancy Wood who was born in 1805, a daughter of Benjamin and Sarah Wood[2] Their known children were:
- Theresa (Thirza)Finch b. at about 1833
- Madison Finch b. at about 1836
- Richmond Finch b. at about 1837
- Foster M. Finch b. at about 1839
- Mary Finch b. at about 1841
- Edwin Finch b. at about 1846
Nancy died on July 9, 1855 at Prince William County, VA age 50 years[2]
John, widowed, married secondly on January 17, 1858 in Fairfax County, VA, Mary Ann Cash who was born in 1818 in Fairfax, VA, a daughter of Elijah and Susan Cash. [3]
Death
Nancy died in 1855 in Virginia[2]. John died at the end of October, 1862[4] .
