Anna Marguerite Eggers was born January 22, 1913, in New York City, the daughter of the late John and Catherine Eggers. Her siblings were:

Education

Anna Eggers was a 1931 graduate of Cobleskill Ag and Tech College with a home economics major.

Occupation

Anna and Chester Miller operated Helderidge Farms, including Pole-Kat Park, until his death in 1974. She served as deputy when he was the Berne Town clerk in the late '30s and early '40s. She was a member of Foxenkill Grange 1579, the Berne Fire Auxiliary am! the Hilltown Senior Citizens and their quilters club.

ANNA M.MILLER

Services were held Friday for Anna M. Miller, 73, who died last Tuesday in St. Peter's Hospice, Albany.

She was born Jan. 22, 1913, in New York City, the daughter of the late John and Catherine Eggers. A few years later the family moved to Cotton Hill and soon to Dutch Settlement, where she grew up. She was a 1931 graduate of Cobleskill Ag and Tech College with a home economics major. On April 16,1937, she married Chester A. Miller and they operated Helderidge Farms, including Pole-Kat Park, until his death in 1974. She served as deputy when he was the Berne Town clerk in the late '30s and early '40s. She was a member of Foxenkill Grange 1579, the Berne Fire Auxiliary and the Hilltown Senior Citizens and their quilters club.

She became a member of Uhai Chapter 803 O.E.S. in 1938 and served through the years in several offices and as matron in 1955. Uhai Chapter conducted their memorial service Thursday evening at the Fredendall Funeral Home. Rev. Janice Jenson officiated at the funeral service Friday at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church where Anna had been an active member serving many years as ladies auxiliary treasurer, chairman of the altar guild, and faithful worker in the LCW. Spring interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Survivors include three daughters — Mrs. Robert (Doris) Flagler of Berne, Mrs. Gary (Sandra) Gillen of Guilderland and Mrs. Gary (Donna) VanZandt of Center Brunswick; one son Michael Miller, of Warrensburg; eleven grandchildren — Mrs. Dennis (Carol) Barber of Knox; Richard Flagler of Chicago; Alicia, Bonnie, and Mark Gillen of Guilderland, Erika and Nicole Van Zandt of Center Brunsw*ck, Melissa Roberts of Russell Sage College, Casey, Courtland and Jade Miller of Warrensburg (Warren Co.); two brothers, John Eggers of Port Orange, Fla., and Ernest Eggers of Schoharie; and three sisters — Mrs. Malcolm (Elizabeth) Siefer of Sodus Point (Wayne Co.), Mrs. Louis (Alma) Burger of Schoharie and Mrs. Ford (Edna) Bunzey Jr., of Berne. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Berne, the American Cancer Society or St. Peter's Hospice.
