Obituary WESTERLO - Lucien H. Crane, 80, of Crane Road died March 18 at his home. Mr. Crane was a student of Josef Albers at Black Mountain College, formerly in North Carolina, and a graduate of Antioch College and New York University. He was a teacher before his retirement from the New York City public schools. Mr. Crane was a World War II veteran, serving as a weatherman. He lived in a solar home and his interest in nature and conservation led him to become involved in renewable energy, and energy conservation. He also helped establish Biofuels America, a conservation organization. He also enjoyed bird watching, traveling and gardening. Survivors include a sister, Mala Coburn of Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Services were private. Contributions may be made to Biofuels America, RD 1, P.O. Box 19, Westerlo, N.Y. 12193. Arrangements were by the Meyers Funeral Home in Delmar.
