KNOX — Louis A. Bellinger, 89, of Route 156 died Tuesday in St. Clare's Hospital following a long illness.

He was born in Sharon  Springs and lived there for several years before moving to  Knox.

KNOX — Louis A. Bellinger, 89, of Route 156 died Tuesday in St. Clare's Hospital following a long illness.

He was born in Sharon Springs and lived there for several years before moving to Knox.

He operated a farm on Witter Road for many years. He also worked for the state Department of Transportation as a laborer, and later for the Albany County Highway Department, from which he retired. After retirement, he worked part time at Thacher Park and for the town of Knox landfill.
