John Allen, Jr. was born in Berne, on June 19, 1812 (Also reported to be born November 3, 1804, but see reference below) the son of John Allen (b. 1783).
Occupation
He was a farmer in Knox.
Marriage & Children
On June 1, 1836, John married Catherine M. Bellar, who was born in Middleburgh, N.Y. on December 27, 1815, and died October 25, 1875. Their children were:

- Elmina Allen (b. 2/4/1839, m. Jerome Torrey, d. 1869)
- Martha Allen (b.6/16/1842, d. 12/1/1846)

John P. Allen, Jr. married second on 23 NOV 1876 at Gallupville, Schoharie Co., New York, Malinda Haverly (24 MAR 1821 - 20 AUG 1904), the daughter of John Haverly and Mary Elizabeth Zimmer. No children were listed
Death
John Allen, Jr. died December 28, 1883, in Knox and was buried in Knox Cemetery in Knox.
