Birth

Jacob was born 8 Jan. 1836 Town of Berne, son of Christopher Batcher and Catherine Clute. His family moved to Vestal, Broome Co., NY before 1840.[1]


Marriage and Children

He married Matilda Heath who was born in 1843 on December 25, 1860 at Owego, Tioga County, NY and had a daughter, Ella Batcher who was born in 1863.
