Lewis W. Quay was born November 30, 1841[1] to Daniel Quay (B. Feb 20, 1813, D. bet Jan 30 and Apr 30, 1855) and Anna Barbara Truax (B. Apr 5, 1818, D. Jan 15, 1907).[2] He was one of eight children.[2]
