Gladys Marie Zimmer was born 31 JUL 1919, the only child of Marvin Zimmer (29 AUG 1898 - 16 JAN 1964) and Leila Williman (11 AUG 1899 - 19 MAR 1933)
Her step mother was Merta Zimmer. Step-brothers and sisters were:
- Herbert Wolford - Step brother
- Marjorie Whittacker and her husband, Roscoe, of New Port Richey, Fla.
- Whilma Willsey and her husband, Mike, of East Berne.

Gladys Zimmer married Kenneth H. Skinner, the son of Howard Skinner. Their children were:
- Howard "Skip" Skinner and his wife, Doris, of Gallupville
- Leila Vinson and her husband, Bob, of Thompsons Lake
- Douglas Skinner and his wife, Connie, of Gallupville
- Debra Stalker and her husband, Dick, of Central Bridge;
Death
Gladys Zimmer Skinner died Thursday, April 27, 2006 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. She was 86.

SCHOHARIE — Gladys Zimmer Skinner died Thursday, April 27, 2006 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. She was 86.
She was a member of the Gallupville Evangelical Lutheran Church. "Gladys was an avid reader and bird watcher, but her true passion was her love of her family," said her family in a tribute.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Kenneth H. Skinner; four children, Howard "Skip" Skinner and his wife, Doris, of Gallupville, Leila Vinson and her husband, Bob, of Thompsons Lake, Douglas Skinner and his wife, Connie, of Gallupville, and Debra Stalker and her husband, Dick, of Central Bridge; two stepsisters, Marjorie Whittacker and her husband, Roscoe, of New Port Richey, Fla. and Whilma Willsey and her husband, Mike, of East Berne.
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Her parents, Marvin and Leila Zimmer, died before her as did her stepmother, Merta Zimmer, and a stepbrother, Herbert Wolford. A funeral service was held on Monday at the Fredendall Funeral Home in Altamont. Burial was in Old Stone Fort Cemetery in Schoharie. Memorial contributions may be made to the Scho-Wright Ambulance, Schoharie, NY 12157.
