WESTERLO, N.Y. -- Robert W. Cooper, 79 years, of Westerlo, passed away suddenly at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, N.Y. on August 23, 2005. He was born in Jersey City, N.J. on April 10, 1926, son of the late Henry and Alice (Risen) Cooper. Surviving are his wife Marion (Dunbar) Cooper; two sons, Robert H. Cooper and his wife Carol of Westerlo, Richard J. Cooper of Westerlo; a daughter, Gail Bushnell of Berne, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Wayne Cooper, Lori Gebe and her husband Matthew, Steven Cooper and his wife Mary, Thomas and Allison Bushnell; also six great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward Cooper of Va.; and several nieces and nephews. Cooper, of Westerlo; his daughter, Gail Bushnell, of Berne; his grandson Wayne Cooper; his granddaughter Lori Gebe and her husband Matthew; his grandson Steven Cooper and his wife, Mary; his grandson Thomas Bushnell; his granddaughter Allison Bushnell; his brother, Edward Cooper, of Virginia; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. His brothers George and John Cooper died before him. A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 27, at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Greenville. Interment was in the Westerlo Rural Cemetery.
