Marriage & Children

She appears to have married two times. She married Mose Trask[1] and Daniel Taylor[5] Daniel Taylor was the son of Phillip Taylor (B. abt 1805, D. after 1880) and his wife Eliza Jane.[6] Lydia had the following children by Daniel:

  • Clarissa M. Taylor (B. abt 1853, D. after 1860)[6]
  • Julia Ann Taylor (B. abt 1855, D. after 1860)[6]
  • Walter Taylor (B. abt Oct 1859, D. after 1920)[5][6]
  • William Taylor (B. abt 1861, D. after 1880)[4][7]

Life

In 1860, Lydia was living with her husband Daniel, who was a painter, their children, and his parents in Albany's 9th Ward.[6] The family had the income of her father in law Phillip Taylor, who ran a boot and shoe store, as well as her husband and her brother in law, Sylvester Taylor (B. abt 1844, D. after 1880), who was working as a clerk.[6] Her whereabouts in 1870 is unknown however, her young son William was living with her parents, Thomas Stafford Sr. and Maria Truax.[4] Her in-laws moved to Ontario, Wayne County, NY with their son Sylvester, however no further information on Lydia or her husband has been found.[8][9]
