Richmond's younger brother, Edwin (Eddie) also served in the 15th Cavalry. Birth

Edwin Finch was born in Knox in 1846, a son of John Finch and Nancy Wood. His parents and eight siblings moved from Knox, N.Y., to a farm in Maple Valley, Prince William County, VA. [1]
