The Saddlemire Homestead boasts a room dedicated to the pillbox industry that was begun in Knox by Jonathan Crary, another room depicting the Knox Caves, a re-created one room school house and several other rooms that contain artifacts of yester-years.

Saddlemire Homestead (formerly the Knox Historical Museum) opens for special events during the summer. Call John Elberfeld at (518) 872-2082 or email him at [email protected] to visit the museum any other time. The museum is in the center of Knox by the Fire Station and in front of the Knox Town Hall.
