The Saddlemire Homestead boasts a room dedicated to the pillbox industry that was begun in Knox by Jonathan Crary, another room depicting the Knox Caves, a re-created one room school house and several other rooms that contain artifacts of yester-years.

Saddlemire Homestead (formerly the Knox Historical Museum) opens on Memorial Day annually and is then open Sundays through August. Hours are 2-4:30 p.m. or may be opened upon request. Main St., hamlet of Knox.

The Saddlemire Homestead is also open by appointment.
