If you have some photos you would like to share do the following:

Graphics can be added to any page at any time.

*sign in

1. Email John Elberfeld at [mailto:[email protected] [email protected]]
*go to edit tab

:a. In your email, include you full name, a User Name and Password you want to use, and the email address you want associated with the site
*towards the bottom of the page is the Edit panel

:b. John will create an account with your unique user name and password on all SIX wikis that make up this site.
*scroll down the Edit panel and until you come to the following:

:c. You will receive six emails, one for each site.

Get a User Name and Password and Log In

1. Email John Elberfeld at [email protected]

a. In your email, include you full name, a User Name and Password you want to use, and the email address you want associated with the site
b. John will create an account with your unique user name and password on all SIX wikis that make up this site.
c. You will receive six emails, one for each site.
d. Please reply to each email to confirm your information.

2. Log In to the site

a. Click Log In in the very top right hand corner of the screen on the site where you want to add or edit data.
b. Enter your User Name and Password. BOTH ARE CASE SENSITIVE!
c. You may choose to be remembered for 180 days.
d. You must log into each wiki where you want to add or edit data.

  • above the line for <gallery> add your name between double equal signs and on the line below it add a sentence or two about yourself. Example:

Harold Miller lives in Oaxaca, Mexico and returns to Berne every summer to visit family.

  • click on "Upload file" in left column
  • enter the location of the file for your image
  • change the name of the file of image to be uploaded so as to be briefly descriptive
  • enter a description of the image, your name, date of photo and any details about the picture you would like
  • every page must have one or more Categories. For these images there are two that should be added in the panel on the last line:

[[Category:All Images]] [[Category:Natural History]]

  • click on Upload
  • copy the name of the image

Image:New name of image.jpg

  • go back to edit page
  • paste name of image in the first line replacing Image:{filename}
  • add a caption relpacing the words {caption} with a description of your picture and the year taken.
  • your entry should look like this:

  • click on Preview on bottom of page to preview what the page will look like.
  • if it looks correct then Upload another image File.
  • when you are done, Preview and Save.
