Mustered in: April 23, 1861 to May 11, 1861 Mustered out: August 2, 1861 Mustered in: September 20 to October 20,1861 Mustered out: January 29, 1866

During its service the regiment lost by death, killed in action, 5 officers, 81 enlisted men; of wounds received in action, 3 officers, 39 enlisted men; of disease and other causes, 156 enlisted men; total, 8 officers', 276 enlisted, men; aggregate, 284; of whom 22 enlisted men died in the hands of the enemy; by the explosion of ammunition at City Point, Va., August 9, 1864, the regiment lost, by death, 6 enlisted men.

  • Jacob F. Bradt of Westerlo was a 23 year old Private in Company K when he was wounded at Manassas, VA on August 30, 1862. He was discharged for his disability on January 29, 1863. He was a younger brother of John W. Bradt.
  • John W. Bradt of Rensselaerville was a 29 year old Private in Company K when he was wounded at Manassas, VA on August 30, 1862. He returned to service and was discharged on January 29, 1866 at Portsmouth, VA
  • Spencer Dedrick of Westerlo was a 26 year old Private in Company C when he was wounded in action at Manassas, VA on August 30, 1862. He was discharged for his wounds on December 10, 1862 at Washington, DC.
  • Charles Cole of Westerlo was a 21 year old Private of Company K when he was injured. He transferred to a Veteran Reserve Corp on January 2, 1864 and was discharged with disability on October 30, 1865.
  • Robert G. Westervelt of Westerlo was a 31 year old private in Company H when he was discharged for his disability on March 12, 1862.
