Jonathan’s Will

Additional Research

Sally Ann, the second wife of Jonathan, had a sister, Emeline who married John Whitelaw, a scottish immigrant, and moved to Baltimore MD. While she lived there, an individual named Eliza West who was about 2 years younger than Emeline and who was born in NY, was living with Emeline and her family.
Emeline returned to NY after her family was deceased and she died at about 1893, leaving a will that named her sister Sally Ann Wood and Sally's family as well as an individual named Anna West.
This is a strong indication that Sally, Emeline, and Eliza were children of Benjamin West.
