Birth

Cornelius was born at about 1832 in Berne, Albany County, NY, the son of Johannes Wilday (B. April 7, 1789, D. 1873) and Margaret Ecker (B. Oct 28, 1794, D. Dec 25, 1861).[1]

Marriage & Children

He married Emily Woodcock, a daughter of Richard and Sally Woodcock in Berne at about 1854 and had the following children[1]:

  • Julia Wilday born at about 1854[1]
  • Mary Wilday born at about 1856, she married Josiah W. Barber
  • Catherine Wilday born in September of 1859[1]
  • Elijah Wilday born in November of 1862[1]
  • David Wilday born in October 1864[1]
