Birth

Ezra West was born in Knox on December 7, 1837, a son of George William West and Eve P. Shultes. [1] He was one of seven children.

Ezra apparently never married.

Occupation

At the time of his enlistment, Ezra was a tanner.

He was a member of the Charles McCulloch Post 645, of the G.A.R., serving as surgeon in 1892.
