Edward Wagoner Obituary - Altamont Enterprise — Friday, May 12, 1950

East Berne Edward Wagoner On Friday, (May 5, 1950) Edward Wagoner, a life long resident of East Berne, was taken suddenly ill and died before the arrival of the doctor.

While Mr. Wagoner's health had not been the best for some time he was about and able to assist his son about the farm. He and Mrs. Wagoner had been out with their car on Thursday.

He was the son of the late William and Susan Wagoner, and was a quiet, unassuming man of sterling qualities. He was 77 years old and had spent his life on the farm of his birth.

He is survived by his widow, the former Ida Stevens; two sons, William and Clarence, and several grandchildren.

As he had not been under the doctor's care for some time preceding his death, Coroner Arthur S. Tompkins was called and death was ascribed to natural causes.

Funeral services were held from the Brunk Funeral Home with Mortician Bruce Brunk in charge on Monday afternoon.
