Birth

Stephen Treadwell was born in Potter's Hollow, Albany County, NY in about 1841.[1] He was a son of Valentine and Hannah Treadwell.


His father was a merchant, and he worked for his father

Stephen never married.

Occupation

Stephen worked as a merchant before his service in the Civil War.[1] Sometime after the Civil War he moved to Newburg, NY and operated a hotel.
