Kenneth was born in Albany, New York,[1] on December 5, 1937. [1], the son of Kenneth and Ethel Travis.

Mr. Travis was educated in Albany, New York. [2]

Marriage and Children

Kenneth married Carol Sabin and they had Bethany and Mark Travis. [2]

Occupation

Mr. Travis worked for the Albany International Airport in the maintenance department for many years. Prior to his employment at the airport, he worked for the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance and Workman's Compensation. [2]

Military Service

Mr. Travis was a Vietnam Era Air Force veteran. [2]

Death

Kenneth died Wednesday, May 9, 2001 at the North East Center for Special Care in Lake Katrine, New York. [2]

ALBANY -- Kenneth G. Travis Jr., 63, died Wednesday, May 9, 2001 at the North East Center for Special Care in Lake Katrine, NY. Born and educated in Albany, he resided in West Berne for many years. He was a Vietnam Era Air Force veteran. Mr. Travis worked for the Albany International Airport in the maintenance department for many years. Prior to his employment at the airport, he worked for the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance and Workman's Compensation. He was a former member of the Albany Lodge of Elks, BPOE #49. Husband of Carol Sabin Travis; father of Bethany and Mark Travis; brother of Mary Louise Bruno, Rosemary Soraghan, Anna Anastasio, Corinne Holbine and John Travis; also survived by many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. John's-St. Ann's Church. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Sunday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Our Lady Help of Christian's Cemetery, Glenmont.
