Silas and Abigail Blodgett and family Silas Blodgett Sr (Capt.) - Born: Jan 22, 1731/2 - Stafford, Conn - Died: Aug 27, 1824 (age 92/93) - Hadley, NY - Parents: Josiah and Elizabeth Blodgett - Married: Sep 10, 1759 - Stafford, Mass - Resided: Stafford, Conn; Tolland, Conn; - Scholarie Co, NY; Providence, NY; Hadley, NY Abigail Kibbe - Born: Nov 21, 1736 - Somers, Conn - Died: 1820/24 (age 84-88) - Hadley, NY - Parents: Jacob and Sarah (Weld) Kibbe Silas and Abigail resided in Stafford until after the revolution, but by the census of 1790 they had moved to Tolland, Conn. In 1793 they moved to Schoharie County, NY. and by 1800 resided in Providence, Saratoga County, NY. By 1818 they were living in Hadley, NY. They may have moved there to help their son Aaron (who had just lost his wife) raise his seven children. While living in Hadley, Silas applied for his Revolutionary War pension. Silas wife Abigail died sometime after the 1820 census. Silas then moved to Knox, Albany County, NY to live with his eldest daughter, Sarah and her husband Amos Torrey. He died there at the age of 92 and is buried in the Torrey plot in Knox Rural Cemetery, DAR Marker. Blodgett Family History Sources
