Birth

Henry F. Snyder was born January 6, 1931,[1] in Westerlo[2] to Walter Leslie Snyder and Christina Messer.[3]


Education

He was educated in Westerlo, New York.[2]


Military Service

Henry served in the Army and was a Veteran of the Korean War.[2]


Occupation

He worked for Aquatic Construction Ltd., formerly Paddock Pools, as a Foreman for more than 40 years, retiring from there.[2]


Marriage & Children

Henry was married to Lita Ayers. They had the following children: Melita, Bernadette, Teresa, Caroly, and Arthur Snyder.[2]


Death

Henry died on September 9, 1995, in Albany, NY at 64 years of age.[2]


Burial

He was buried in Our Lady Help Of Christians Cemetery, in Glenmont, NY.[2]

ALBANY Henry F. Snyder, 64, died Saturday at his home. Mr. Snyder was born and educated in Westerlo. He had been a resident of Albany for the past 40 years. He was a foreman with Aquatic Construction Ltd., formerly Paddock Pools, for more than 40 years. Mr. Snyder was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Westerlo Basic Rod and Gun Club and a life member of the Westerlo Volunteer Fire Company. Survivors include his wife, Lita Ayers Snyder; four daughters, Melita Manilenko, Teresa Snyder and Bernadette Phillips, all of Albany, and Carolyn Hammond of Endwell, Broome County; a son, Arthur Snyder of Albany; three brothers, George Snyder, Frederick Snyder and Robert Snyder, all of Westerlo; three sisters, Mary Tompkins and Catherine Latham, both of Westerlo, and Anna Kuhar of Rensselaerville; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. Burial will be in Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, Glenmont. Calling hours will be 4-8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to St. Peter's Hospice, 315 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.
