Earl W. Skinner was born in Berne on April 30, 1912 to William and Harriet Filkins Skinner. His brothers and sisters were:

RAVENA -- Earl W. Skinner, 88, died Friday, September 22, 2000 at St. Peters Hospital in Albany after a long illness. Mr. Skinner was born in Berne on April 30, 1912 to William and Harriet Filkins Skinner. He spent the last 25 years at Hillside House in Ravena before entering Albany County Nursing Home earlier this year. He was the brother of the late Fannie Gallup, Nettie Filkins, Minnie Strevell, Leonie Gallup and Lewis and Harold Skinner. He was the uncle of Doris LeBuis of Berne, Marjorie Garry of Schenectady, Elsie Morrisson of Scotia, Betty VanWie of Middleburg, Adrienne Malley of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Clyde Filkins of Westerlo, Roger Gallup of Hillsdale, NY and the late Robert Skinner, Sr. He is also survived by many grand, great grand and great great grand nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Fredendall Funeral Home, 199 Main St., Altamont. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. Burial will be in South Berne Cemetery, South Berne. Those who wish may make contributions to Hillside House, 19 Orchard Ave., Ravena, NY 12143.
