Seneca Frink was born in 1856 in the town of Knox, NY, the son of Charles G. Frink (July 2, 1819 - July 27, 1896) and Margaret Schoonmaker (1823 - April 18, 1889). His brothers and sisters were:

Seneca Frink married first Emeline Quay (1849 - December 19, 1899). Their children were:
- Maggie F. Frink (February 17, 1870 - March 13, 1943) married Charles T. Clute (1866 - November 13, 1945) on June 4, 1891. A son was Stanton H. Clute (August 11, 1892 - June 9, 1965). Stanton H. Clute married Helen E. Fredendall on November 19, 1913
