Francis Secor was born in Berne in 1826, a son of Simon Secor (1788-1850) and Catherine Tygert (1794-1833) [1]

Francis’ family removed to Oneida County, NY in 1850 where he met and married Antoinette Houghton on December 10, 1855. [1]
