Johannes Schultes was born on March 17, 1770 a son of Lt. Mathias Shultes and Anna Eva Engle. [1]
Marriage & Children
At or about 1794 he married Margaret Ecker who was born on April 23, 1771, a daughter of Johannes Ecker and Catherine Young[1]. Their children were:
- Johannes Shultes was born on March 19, 1795[1]He died before May of 1835. He left behind a son named Harvey and daughters named Mary and Maria.
- Peter Shultes was born on October 3, 1797[1]
- Jacob I. Shultes was born on October 6, 1799, he married Rhoda Bolster[1]
- Maria Shultes was born on November 2, 1801, she married Isaac H. Watson[1]
- Adam J. Shultes was born on February 5, 1804, he married Ann Eliza McIntosh[1]
- Matthias Shultes was born on May 27, 1806
- Anna Eve Shultes was born on September 26, 1808, she married William Shafer[1]
- Joseph I. Shultes was born on September 2, 1811, he married Mary Elizabeth Deitz[1]
- William Shultes was born on October 21, 1813, he married Sarah Crounse[1]
- Catharie (Caty) Ann Shultes was born on March 3, 1816, she married Lucius H. Church[1]
Death
Margaret died on May 2, 1831 in Berne. Johannes died on April 3, 1847 in Berne. [1]
