He had been a purchasing officer for the state Thruway Authority in Albany for the past 23 years.  Mr. Schenk was a Navy veteran, and served during the Vietnam War.  He was a member of the National Rifle Association, Nathaniel Blanchard American Legion Post 1040, and the Thruway Authority's Wednesday night golf league.  Survivors include his wife, Linda Schenk; a daughter, Kelli Marie Schenk of Westerlo; his father, Edward J. Schenk of Albany; and four sisters, Ellen A. Moak of Rensselaerville, Barbara J. Martin of Knox, Cecilia Goldbach of East Haven, Conn., and Theresa Lawrence of Simsbury, Conn.  Services will be held at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday in the Frederick Funeral Home, 16 Manning Square, Albany, and 9 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, Central Avenue, Albany.  Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.  Calling hours are 5-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.  Contributions may be made to the Westerlo Rescue Squad, Westerlo, NY 12193.''
