Edith Quay was born in Knox February 24, 1882, she had lived most of her life in the Knox area. She was the daughter of Daniel Webster Quay married ABT 1879 Idella Batcher, the daughter of Theodore Batcher and Margaret Livingston. Her siblings were:

Edith Quay Nash

Services were held Sunday for Edith Quay Nash, 94, of Knox. She passed away last Thursday, (March 13, 1976).

Born in Knox Feb. 24, 1882, she had lived most of her life in the Knox area and was an active member of the Knox Reformed church until her later years.

She was the wife of the late Frank Quay, mother of the late Howard, Harold, and Lloyd Quay. She is survived by a son, Herbert Quay, Knox; a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Wright, Schenectady.

She was a half-sister of Mrs. Walter (Helen) Coulter, Mrs. Merlin (Lois) Tubbs, Knox; Thaddeus Quay, Galway; Robert Quay, Schenectady; Donald Quay, Oakdale, Conn.; Richard Quay, Union Springs and the late James Quay. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services were held at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont, with Rev. Peter Berry officiating. Burial was in Knox cemetery.
