Birth

James M. Porter was born 24 Apr. 1840, Broome, Schoharie, NY son of William Porter, Jr. and Almina Thornington.

Marriage & Children

James married 8 Mar. 1860 Nancy Jane Chicester, b. 1844 dau. of John. She died after 1 June 1880. They had two children:[1]

James married 1881 at the Parrot House in Schoharie, Matilda Wainwright, born 20 Apr. 1851, Cobleskill dau. of Jonas and Jeanette Wainwright. They had one son:

Death

James died 19 Jun 1917 Broome, Schoharie. He was buried 21 June 1917 in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Livingstonville. Matilda Wainwright Porter died 17 March 1934 and was buried 20 March 1934 beside her husband.
