Birth
James Phillips was born in about 1825 to Evan Phillips (B. abt 1777, D. after 1855) and his wife Elizabeth (B. abt 1783, D. after 1855).[1] James was one of four known children.[1]
Marriage & Children
In about 1852, James married Rosella Grant (B. abt 1828, D. Feb 22, 1910), the daughter of Perlos or Terlos Grant and Abby Jane Hempstead.[1] They had the following children:

Death
James Phillips died on September 18, 1874 in Westerlo, Albany Co, NY. He was buried at Hannacroix Cemetery in Westerlo. His wife Rosella died many years later on February 22, 1910 in Coeymans, Albany Co, NY and she was buried with her husband at Hannacroix Cemetery.
