Bernice C. Palombo Hart, 74, formerly of Knox, NY passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday July 17, 2012 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.

Born on February 1, 2012 in Schenectady, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Leona Palombo. Bernice was a lifelong area resident. She was owner and operator of Helping Hands Cleaning Service of Albany and is remembered as a loving and caring woman who devoted her time to taking care of family and friends when needed.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and John Palombo; a grandson, Keith Muloy; and two great-grandsons, Zachary Breglia and R. J. Flagg.

Survivors include her seven children, Debra Linebarier, Bernadette VanKempen, Charles (Christine) Godbout, Bernadin (Cathy) GodBout, Concetta (Jim Kress) Godbout, Jacqueline (Roy S.) Godbout-Redman and Leona Vrooman; 24 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Donna Ostrander and Carol Warner; an uncle, James (Madeline) Petraske; and several nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Griswold Funeral Home, 1867 State St., Schenectady. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady.
