In his retirement years he and Frances spent their winters in Florida.  He was kept busy in his flowers and vegetable garden.  Two weeks before his death he managed to help plant some gladiolas.  He loved to give away his day lilies, raspberries and home grown vegetables. His heart was as big as his gardens.

Hubert H. Miller

Birth

Hubert was born in Berne on May 11, 1906, son of Henry Alson Miller and Anna B. Gibbs.


Education

Hubert attended high school in Altamont and graduated from Cobleskill College in Cobleskill, Schoharie Co., NY.

Occupation

Hubert owned and operated Cole Hill Farm for 45 years and was active on the state and local levels in numerous agricultural organizations. He was a farmer who raised registered Holsteins, chickens & pigs. The pigs and chicken eggs were provided to the market.

Hubert married Frances Ima Becker, October 7, 1937, and they had ten children:

Retirement

Death

Hubert passed away Saturday, May 12, 2001, the day after his 95th birthday, in Bassett Hospital in Cobleskill and was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Berne.
