Birth

Thomas Jewett Mann was born in Berne on May 12, 1818, a son of Thomas Jewett Mann and Elizabeth (Betsey) Weidman. [1]

Marriage & Children

He married at about 1844[2], Catherine Weisgarver who was born in Berne on September 22, 1822, a daughter of Jacob Weisgarver and Maria Ecker[1] and had the following known children:

Additional Remarks: Enlisted at the age of 44 to serve 3 years. The 1865 census indicated that he lost 2 fingers on his right hand and had 2 other injuries. The image file below indicates that the two other injuries were that he was shot in right knee and also in his back.

Death

Catherine Weisgarver Mann died in 1899. Thomas J. Mann survived his wife and died about three years later, in1902. Both are buried at the Breakabeen Cemetery in Fulton.
